A Newark couple pleaded not guilty today to charges in connection to the death of their 3-month-old baby found dead while laying in bed with parents on August 12, 2015.
Newark residents, Micael Jordan, 30, and Hakeem Lemons, 29, plead not guilty to reckless manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with the death of Jallon Lemons.
Hakeem Lemons was charged on Aug. 14, 2015 and Micael Jordan on Friday.
The matter has been referred to the grand jury and while their bail will remain at $200,000 each. Lemons and Jordan remain in custody at the Essex County Correctional Facility.
