Paramus School Bus Catches Fire, Students Escape Unharmed

Nearly 20 Paramus High School student escaped unharmed from a burning school bus today thanks to their swift driver.

Crews were called to Spring Valley Road today for a report of a school bus fire.

The fast moving fire caused road closures after a diesel fuel spill of 20 to 30 gallons in front of Eastbrook Middle School was cleanup.

However no one was hurt thanks to the swift action of the school bus driver.

According to police, the driver evacuated the bus after hearing a strange noise followed by smoke coming from the engine.

The engine fire remains under investigation at this time.
