Paramus Police Looking for Woman Who Robbed Garden State Plaza Store at Knifepoint

Paramus Paterson

Paramus police would like the public's help in identifying the woman who robbed at knifepoint the Abercrombie and Fitch kids store in the Garden State Plaza $900 before boarding a bus to Paterson, authorities announced.

On May 16 at around 5:50 pm, the woman entered the store wielding a large silver butcher knife with a black handle, officials say. She then demanded they ring up a shirt for them to be able to access the register access.

According to reports, she ordered them to give her $900 in cash from the register drawer.

Police have described the suspect as a white female between 25 and 30 years old, around 5'5" wearing a grey Abercombie and Fitch hooded sweatshirt, black short-sleeve Abercrombie and Fitch T-shirt and jeans.

Officials say that mall security cameras caught the suspect taking off her grey sweatshirt and baseball cap while running from the mall to a bus at the Garden State Plaza bus stop.

Reports say that the footage also saw a distinct and unique, large tattoo on her upper left arm. She exited the bus on Broadway in Paterson between Lake and Carroll Streets.
