Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Mr. Winston Santos 37 of Paramus on charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault, Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact, and Endangering The Welfare Of A Child.
Officials say the arrest is the result of a joint investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Paramus Police Department under the direction of Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg.
According to Bergen County officials, on Friday, February 28, the Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit to report concerns that Salem was engaged in a sexual relationship with a child under the age of sixteen in Paramus.
An investigation was initiated by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Paramus Police Department.
