Police remained on the scene for an extended period early Thursday after an armed robbery targeting a Papa Johns delivery driver prompted a large law enforcement response in the city’s Greenville section.

According to preliminary information, the incident happened shortly after midnight in the 70 block of Pamrapo Avenue.
The delivery driver reportedly arrived to complete a pizza order when the customer allegedly pulled out a handgun, told the driver he had no money, and stole the pizza.
The suspect then reportedly ran into a nearby three-story residential building while still armed.
Jersey City police quickly established a perimeter around the property and called in detectives and the Emergency Services Unit (ESU) to assist with the investigation.
As of this report, authorities have not announced any arrests, and police have not confirmed whether the individuals believed to have entered the building were involved in the robbery.
The investigation remains active. RLS Media will provide updates as additional information is released by authorities.
