Mark Musella announced that Cory J. Havens, 32, of Vauxhall, New Jersey, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree false swearing under New Jersey law.

According to prosecutors, the investigation was handled by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Confidential Investigations Unit under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer, after the matter was referred by the Palisades Park Police Department.

Authorities said that on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, Havens, who is employed as a Palisades Park police officer, provided false statements while under oath to detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office during the course of an administrative investigation.

As a result of those alleged statements, Havens was arrested later that day in Hackensack and charged with fourth-degree false swearing.
