An early morning crash that happened on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Englewood Cliffs has authorities investigating.
Police responded to the northbound side of the highway near exit one shortly before 2:30 a.m. where they arrived to find a damaged vehicle that was involved in a crash with two victims heavily trapped inside.
Rescue crews arrived to the scene a short time later where they use several techniques to free the occupants from the vehicle.
One of the victims was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene while the other victim was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center suffering critical injuries.
The identity of the fatally injured vicim has not been released at this time.
The cause of the crash is under investigation
