PAAIN Partners with Amerigroup, NJCRI to Bring Paterson Residents the ‘Know Your Status’ Event

Paterson

PAAIN wants to help Paterson residents know their HIV status to prevent more spreading of the disease while bringing awareness to the new agenda to end the HIV epidemic.

This pop-up event will take place at 207 Broadway in Paterson on April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It will be hosted by PAAIN (Preparing Adolescent and Adult Ideologies Now) and sponsored by Amerigroup & North Jersey Community Research Initiative (NJCRI).

According to the CDC and the Division of HIV prevention website, “35 states criminalize the behavior of people with HIV through HIV- or STD-specific laws.”

City influencers such as Mayor Andre Sayegh, Candidate Alson Goow, Councilwoman Ruby Cotton, and HSH Outreach Services were also invited to make an appearance at the event.

Those interested in attending or getting to know more about PAAIN can visit in person at 207 Broadway in Paterson or email Esperanza at pressuredia@gmail.com for more information on volunteering or donations.
