Officials at PSE&G are looking into the cause of an overnight power outage that left residents in a section of the city's North Ward in the dark.
Homes and businesses on several blocks around Nesbitt and Orange streets lost power just after 12:30 a.m. and began to have electricity restored in the area just before 2:45 a.m.
Police and Newark Traffic and Signal were notified and responded to the area for assistance.
The cause of the outage has not been determined at this time.
