A violent car crash that happened on an Irvington Township street had several people transported to the hospital overnight.
Emergency responders rushed to the intersection of Nye Avenue and Augusta Street at around 7:35 p.m. where they arrived to find two badly damaged vehicles with at least one trapped occupant inside one of the cars.
Rescue crews were able to extricate the driver of the vehicle in a short amount of time according to authoritities.
EMS transported about six victims to the hospital, all suffering non-life threatening injuries according to reports.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
