Overnight Earthquake Reported in New Jersey

The United States Geological Survey officials are reporting a small earthquake that shook a portion of New Jersey overnight

Officials say the earthquake struck Southampton Township in Burlington County at approximately 12:25 a.m. in the Leisuretown section of the township.

According to officials, the earthquake registered about a 1.5 magnitude and was at a depth of 7.5 miles.

Burlington County officials are not reporting any damage at this time.
