Police in Newark are on the search for two males wanted for an armed carjacking that occurred overnight in Newark.
The South Ward carjacking was reported in the 200 block of Badger Avenue before 3 a.m. where police arrived at the scene and were informed by the vehicle's owner that shortly before they arrived, two black male suspects approached armed with guns and demanded their car.
The carjacked vehicle is a silver 2012 Toyota Highlander SUV. The vehicle's license plate number is unavailable.
There were no physical injuries reported.
The investigation is active.
