Fire officials are investigating an overnight fire that ignited inside a building in Jersey City.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the 1180 Summit Avenue after they received reports of a fire inside a three-story brick mixed occupancy building at approximately 2:45 a.m.
Upon arrival, police noticed smoke coming from the building and residence beginning to make their away out of the structure to safety.
Crews were able to beat down the fast-moving fire before placing it under control in less than a half hour.
There were no injuries reported.
