Over $1K in Girl Scout Cookie Money Vanishes at Woodbridge Center Mall

Woodbridge Township

Some Girl Scouts’ hard-earned money was stolen from their cookie booth over the weekend while they were at the Woodbridge Center Mall.

Parents and officials are asking for the public’s help in identifying the thief (thieves) who they say stole over $1,000 from Girl Scouts cookie sales Friday at Woodbridge Center mall.

According to police, Girl Scout Troop 80062 on Friday had a table set up in the Boscov’s department store wing near Chick-Fil A, when they noticed that the over $1,000 collected had been taken.

Officials say mall surveillance cameras show a man - possibly disguised - picking up the envelope and placing it in his pocket.

Jennifer Cunha Medina on her Facebook describes the alleged suspect as a white male, roughly 6’2, last seen wearing a green jacket. According to Medina, the suspect was accompanied by an elderly woman with a red walker.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Woodbridge police at 732-634-7700.
