One of Three $50K Powerball Jackpot Tickets Sold in Union County

Union County Springfield Township (Union)

There were three New Jersey Lottery tickets sold that matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn for the Wednesday, Dec. 6 drawing winning the $50,000 third-tier prize.

If those tickets had been purchased with the Power Play Multiplier option, they would have been worth $100,000.

The winning tickets from Saturday night’s drawing were sold at the following locations:

Somerset County: Stop & Shop #802, 3333 Route 27 Suite 100, Franklin Park;

Union County: Shoprite of Springfield, 727 Morris Turnpike, Springfield; and

Warren County: Brass Castle Market, 597 Brass Castle Rd, Oxford.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday, Dec. 6 drawing were: 19, 20, 50, 55 and 62. The Red Power Ball number was 09. The Multiplier number was 02. The Powerball jackpot rolls to $212,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Saturday, Dec. 9 at 10:59 pm.

In addition to the third-tier prizewinning ticket sold, there were 32,234 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $159,714 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.

“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said Hedinger. “I’d like to remind players to purchase their Powerball tickets with a winning attitude and add Power Play to the ticket purchase. Power Play doubles the second prize from one million dollars to two million dollars and multiplies all of the seven lower prize sets available in the game by the number drawn that evening. The jackpot prize is not multiplied.”
