Police in Elizabeth are investgiating a stabbing incident that happened in the city Thursday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to 600 block of New Point Road to investigate reports of an injured person at around 2:05 a.m.
Units arrived to find the unidentified victim suffering a stab wound to the stomach at that location. Police say EMS transported the victim to the hospital where the extent of their injury could not immediately be confirmed.
There were no arrests reported.
