One Person Ejected in Early-Morning Garden State Parkway Crash in Union County

New Jersey State Police are investigating a violent crash that occurred on a major highway in Union County early Thursday morning.

Details surrounding the incident remain limited, as the investigation is active and ongoing. 

However, according to preliminary information, state troopers were dispatched at approximately 12:45 a.m. to reports of a crash in the southbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway near milepost 133 in Clark.
 

When troopers arrived at the scene, they found at least one crashed vehicle and an individual who had been ejected onto the roadway. 

The victim’s immediate condition has not been officially confirmed, though initial reports indicated the individual sustained severe, life-threatening injuries.

 

State Police conducted a search of the surrounding area near milepost 133 to determine whether additional victims were involved. 

At this time, it remains unclear if any other injuries were reported.

 

The crash caused significant traffic delays, with only one lane open as crews worked at the scene. Delays continued into the morning hours while the investigation remained underway.
