One NJ Lottery Ticket Won $1,000,000

NJ Lottery officials announced one New Jersey ticket matched, five white balls winning a $1,000,000 second-tier prize in the August 15 drawing.

According to officials, that ticket was purchased at 3 in 1 Deli, 50 Hopatchung Road in Hopatcong, Sussex County. 

There was also a third-tier prizewinning ticket sold in New Jersey that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn, winning the $10,000 prize, lottery officials said.

Officials say that ticket was sold at Speedway #3433, 1021 Route 9 South, Woodbridge, in Middlesex County.

In addition to the second and third-tier prizes won, 12 players matched four of the five white balls drawn, making each ticket worth $500.

Two of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prizes to $1,500, officials say, where 27,369 other New Jersey players took home $565,576 in prizes ranging from $2 to $600. 

The winning numbers for the Tuesday, August 14, drawing were: 18, 39, 42, 57, and 63, lottery officials said. 

The Gold Mega Ball was 07, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 03.

The jackpot rolls to $20 million for the next drawing to be held on Thursday, August 17, at 11:00 p.m.

All New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 p.m. to participate in the drawing, officials said.
