One Injured in Two-Car Crash in Newark's South Ward

One person suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a crash that occurred in Newark's South Ward on Sunday morning. 

It happened shortly before 3 a.m. near the intersection of South 13th Street and Clinton Avenue. 

Police say emergency responders arrived and found two damaged vehicles with one of the occupants injured at that location. 

The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment but expected to recover. 

Police said no one was trapped inside the cars during the crash and the cause of the collision is under investigation.
