Police detained a suspect who they believe is responsible for a stabbing that left a person injured in Paterson overnight.
It happened in the vicinity Madison Avenue and Broadway shortly before 9:30 p.m.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to the address after receiving reports of an injured person.
Units arriving at the scene found the victim suffering a non-life threatening injury at that location.
EMS transported the victim to St. Josephs Hospital where doctors treated the injury.
The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.
