Police in Newark are investigating the motive for a stabbing that injured a person in the city's Central Ward on Tuesday night.
According to police, at approximately 11 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Bergen Street to investigate reports of an injured person.
Upon arrival, police found the victim suffering a stab wound at that location.
Police say EMS transported the victim the short distance to University Hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries.
There was no motive for the attack available at this time.
