There were non-fatal injuries reported for the victim of a shooting that occurred at a location in Jersey City on Monday morning.
According to police, the incident happened on Ocean Avenue shortly before 1:30 a.m., where officers responded to reports of shots fired. Units arrived at the scene and found the victim suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police say EMS transported the victim to Jersey City Medical Center where doctors treated the injury and expect a full recovery.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation and no arrests were reported.
