Port Authority officers joined Newark Police in an investigation into the cause of a crash that injured a person on a road near Newark International Airport Saturday.
The collision happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Route 1&9, just north of Newark International Airport.
Police arrived and found a car overturned after the driver lost control, ran off the roadway then overturned after hitting the curb.
One person inside the vehicle was transported to the hospital, suffering non-fatal injuries.
No one else was hurt in the collision.
