West Orange

There were five New Jersey Lottery tickets sold that matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn for the Saturday, Aug. 12 drawing winning the $50,000 third-tier prize. If those tickets had been purchased with the Power Play Multiplier option, they would have been worth $100,000.

The winning tickets from Saturday night’s drawing were sold at the following locations:

• Cape May County: Kix Package Goods, 120 63rd St., Sea Isle City;

• Essex County: The Mini Pantry II, 979 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange;

• Middlesex County: Spotswood Wine & Liquors, 75 Old Stage Rd., Spotswood;

• Morris County: Randolph Gas and Convenience, 514 Route 10 West, Randolph; and

• Somerset County: The Wine Rack, 572A Allen Rd., Basking Ridge;

The winning numbers for the Saturday, Aug. 12 drawing were: 20, 24, 26, 35 and 49. The Red Power Ball number was 19. The Multiplier number was 02. The Powerball jackpot rolls to $430,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Wednesday, Aug. 16 at 10:59 pm.

In addition to the third-tier prizewinning ticket sold, there were 111,750 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $541,815 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.

“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said Hedinger. “I’d like to remind players to purchase their Powerball tickets with a winning attitude and add Power Play to the ticket purchase. Power Play doubles the second prize from one million dollars to two million dollars and multiplies all of the seven lower prize sets available in the game by the number drawn that evening. The jackpot prize is not multiplied.”
