An early morning fatal crash is under investigation in the city.
Police responded to a single-vehicle crash that occurred on the westbound lanes of Rt. 4 near Jones Road at approximately 3:12 a.m.
Rescue crews arrived to the scene where they found an Acura, occupied by two unidentified people.
According to officials, one of the occupants who was ejected from the vehicle, succumbed to injuries. The second occupant was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack in unknown condition.
The crash closed the highway for several hours as police investigated the cause.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing by State Police.
