Police are investigating a serious early-morning crash that reportedly left one person dead and several others injured on a major highway in Trenton.
According to preliminary information, emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 3:10 a.m. Friday to the southbound lanes of Route 1 near the New York Avenue on-ramp after receiving reports of a severe motor vehicle collision.
Upon arrival, responders reportedly found multiple victims suffering traumatic injuries.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while emergency medical personnel requested additional resources for multiple trauma patients.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the person killed or additional information regarding the conditions of those injured.
