Officials in Passaic County said at approximately 9:35 p.m. on Friday, September 3, police responded to 120 Lincoln Avenue in the Township of West Milford in response to a report of a motor vehicle accident.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered that a 1999 BMW 323, operated by Alexander P. Vanker, 19-years old, of West Milford, had left the roadway and traveled up an embankment and onto and across the front lawn of the residence located at 120 Lincoln Avenue before coming to rest in the driveway.
Officials say, at the time of the crash, the BMW was occupied by the driver and two other individuals.
One of the passengers, Daniel P. Kearney, 19-years old, of West Milford, was transported to Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, where he was pronounced deceased at 11:19 p.m.
The second passenger, Kyle R. Guell, 19-years old, of West Milford, was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, where he is receiving treatment for serious injuries.
Authorities say no charges have been filed at this time, but the investigation remains active and ongoing.
