Police took a man into custody and charged him with an early morning stabbing in Paterson.
According to authoritites, officers were dispatched to 12th Avenue and Straight Street regarding a stabbing at around 1:30 a.m.
Once on the scene, police discovered a man stabbed multiple times and required medical attention.
The victim was transported to St. Joes’ Hospital where he was pronounced dead a few hours later.
Detectives began an investigation which led to the arrest of Miguel Nesbeth, 31, of New York.
Police arrested Nesbeth near the 100 block of Rosa Parks without incident by Officer J. Bustios, Officer E. Ramos, Sgt. Cheff, Detective J. DeSalvo, Det R. Vazquez of the Paterson Police Department and Det. D. Posada of the Passaic County Prosecutors Office.
Authoritites charehd Miguel Nesbeth with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose.
