Just before 9:15 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of K Street after multiple 911 callers reported a fire inside a single-family home.

Arriving crews stretched several hose lines and began efforts to knock down the flames.

Moments later, the fire intensified and extended from the rear of the structure and through the roof, prompting commanders to transmit a second and then third alarm for additional manpower.

Firefighters conducted a search of the interior to check for trapped or injured occupants, and no victims were located.

Crews brought the blaze under control in under an hour.
