Police in Elizabeth are investigating a car crash that injured one of its officers Saturday night.
According to preliminary reports, police were on the scene of a crash near the airport when an out of control vehicle slammed into the rear of the patrol car just before 8:35 p.m.
One of the officers suffered a non-life threatening knee injury and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
There were no other serious injuries reported.
