NY Woman Accused of Killing West Orange Man Pleads Not Guilty

A 32-year-old New York woman pleaded not guilty to vehicular manslaughter charges in connection with the death of a West Orange man killed in a wrong-way crash outside Syracuse.

The driver of a Ford Escape, later identified as Amy Dell, was heading north on the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 when she collided head-on to a Lexus traveling south on May 8th around 3:17 a.m. in LaFayette, N.Y.

The driver of the Lexus was identified as 58-year-old Bruce Ham who according to report was heading back to New Jersey after accepting a job in Toronto.

Dell was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation.

Her bail was set at $1 million and is due back in court on Oct. 1
