NWS: Windy Conditions in Newark, Residual Flooding in North Jersey Affects Residents

The Newark and North Jersey region is experiencing brisk and chilly conditions this morning, accompanied by powerful wind gusts expected to persist throughout the day.Physical TherapyTemperatures are currently in the upper 30s in Newark and are forecasted to peak closer to 30 mph by this afternoon, making it a blustery day for residents.

According to The National Weather Service, Monday's forecast calls for sunny skies with a high near 50 degrees but wind chill values between 20 and 30 early in the day.

Forecasters say the northwest wind is expected to be particularly strong, ranging from 26 to 31 mph, with gusts as high as 49 mph.

In addition to the windy conditions, North Jersey is also dealing with residual flooding, particularly along rivers such as the Passaic River, which has overflowed its banks.

Residents are advised to exercise caution and stay informed about changing weather conditions.
