NWS: Sunshine Continues in Newark, North Jersey Region; Superbowl Weekend Warms Up

The Newark and North Jersey region has been in an awesome stretch of sunshine, and the good news is that there's more to come.AdDespite a chilly start to the day, residents can expect mostly sunny skies with temperatures hovering in the lower 50s.

According to the National Weather Service, the weather promises to be mostly sunny today, with a high near 51 degrees.

A calm wind will shift to the south, picking up to around six mph in the afternoon, ensuring a pleasant day ahead. As night falls, the skies will turn mostly cloudy, with temperatures dipping to a low of around 35 degrees.

A gentle south wind will continue at around five mph.

But the real highlight is the forecast for the Superbowl weekend, where temperatures are expected to soar to 60 degrees on Saturday, providing a perfect backdrop for game day festivities.

So, New Jersey, enjoy the beautiful weather and the sunny days ahead.
