NWS: Drizzly Morning, Cloudy Skies in Newark and North Jersey Region

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

As the day breaks in the Newark and North Jersey region, my friends and family are greeted with patchy drizzle and overcast skies.Physical TherapyIn areas like Passaic and Sussex counties, there's even a sprinkle of flurries adding a wintry touch to the morning.

While the day promises to dry out as it progresses, don't expect much in the way of sunshine.

According to The National Weather Service, the forecast for Wednesday includes a chance of snow showers before 11 a.m., followed by a possibility of light sprinkles between 11 a.m. and noon.

The day will remain predominantly cloudy, with a high near 41 degrees.

The east wind, starting around five mph, is expected to become calm by the morning. The chance of precipitation stands at 20%.

Heading into Wednesday night, NWS meteorologists say the cloudy conditions will persist, with temperatures dropping to a low of around 33 degrees.

For those stepping out early, carrying an umbrella is advisable to navigate through the drizzly start of the day.

As the region awaits clearer skies, residents can look forward to a calmer, albeit cloudy, day ahead.
