NWS: Cold Start Gives Way to Milder Afternoon in Newark, North Jersey Region

Early risers in parts of North Jersey were greeted with chilly temperatures in the mid-20s as the day began. However, relief is on the way as the day progresses, albeit with a need for a warm jacket.

NinosThe morning starts with patchy frost, expected to dissipate before 8 a.m.

According to The National Weather Service, as the hours pass, clouds will gradually increase, leading to an afternoon high near 53 degrees.

By afternoon, the calm morning wind will become a gentle southwest breeze of 5 to 7 mph.

For those planning their evening, expect mostly cloudy conditions that will gradually give way to clear skies as nighttime approaches.

The low temperature is predicted to be around 39 degrees, with a southwest wind of approximately seven mph.

While the morning cold may have given a brisk start to the day, it's a reminder that autumn is in full swing, and dressing warmly remains essential.
