NWS: Beautiful Weather Sets Stage for Dry Conditions, Brush Fire Hazards in North Jersey

Get ready for some beautiful weather ahead!

In Northern NJ, Today, we are starting with mostly cloudy skies but don't let that get you down because we'll see the sun peeking out throughout the day.

According to  The National Weather Service, the high temperature for the day is expected to be around 82 degrees, with west winds blowing at a speed of 8 to 14 mph. 

While the weather might be great, forecasters at NWS said they want to remind NJ residents to be cautious with the potential for brush fire spread on Wednesday.

April is the peak of wildfire season and a large percentage of fires are ignited by people.

The extended period of dry conditions we've been experiencing has led to an elevated risk for brush fires, so it's essential to take extra care when dealing with anything that could potentially start a fire.

Forecasters said as we move into the evening hours, we will see the skies clearing up and it will be mostly clear. The low temperature for the night is expected to be around 60 degrees, with west winds blowing at a speed of 7 to 11 mph. 

The humidity levels for the day are expected to be around 27%, which means the air will be pretty dry. NWS forecasters said the wind speed is expected to be about 13 mph coming in from the southwest, so that it will be breezy outside.

The barometer reading for the day is expected to be around 29.86, which is normal for this time of year.
