Residents in Newark and the North Jersey region can expect another day of unsettled weather this Sunday, although conditions are not anticipated to be as severe as Saturday's rainy and windy washout.

According to The National Weather Service, the day's forecast includes showers with the possibility of thunderstorms, especially after 9 a.m.

Some of these storms could bring gusty winds and heavy rainfall.

NWS forecasters said temperatures are expected to reach a high near 64 degrees. Humidity levels will remain relatively high at 93%.

Additionally, NWS forecasters say a northeast wind at speeds of 11 to 16 mph is predicted. The barometer currently reads 29.98, indicating the atmospheric conditions.

If you plan to head outdoors today, it's advisable to have an umbrella and jacket on hand due to the ongoing precipitation.

While conditions are expected to be less severe than on Saturday, it's always wise to be prepared for wet weather in this unpredictable autumn season.
