North Ward Robbery Suspect Sought by Police

Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred on Sunday, April 7, 2018.

Police say approximately 12:15 p.m., police responded to a robbery in the 100 block of Bloomfield Avenue.

The victim was assaulted, robbed and had money and other personal property taken before the suspect fled according to police.

Detectives investigating this incident gathered sufficient evidence identifying the pictured male, known to frequent Bloomfield and Mount Prospect avenues, as the suspect in this incident.

While police are actively searching for the suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from Newark streets.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
