As of 4:30 a.m., it’s 66 degrees with light winds and partly cloudy skies along 12th Avenue and South 7th Street in Newark.

The atmosphere hints at a shift in pace, almost like summer’s final bow, as temperatures are expected to climb near 83 degrees today.

According to the National Weather Service, patchy fog may linger before 8 a.m., but skies will gradually clear up to make way for sunshine.

With light west winds between 3 to 5 mph, conditions are ideal for outdoor activities, including lunch al fresco.

Tonight, expect mostly clear skies with a low around 64 degrees, setting up for a mild and pleasant evening.

Whether you’re heading to work, catching a morning bus, or planning a midday stroll, Thursday is shaping up to be one of the nicest days of the week.
