North Haledon Man Killed in Hawthorne Crash Involving Dump Truck

A 56-year-old man from North Haledon died Wednesday morning following a two-vehicle crash at a Hawthorne intersection, according to a statement released by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities said the fatal collision occurred around 11:30 a.m. on June 11, when a dump truck and a Nissan SUV collided at the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Goffle Hill Road. 

 

Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene, but the driver of the SUV was pronounced dead from his injuries.
 

The identity of the victim has not yet been publicly released, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

 

The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and Hawthorne Police are jointly handling the case.
