North Brunswick police are investigating a car crash that caused the death of one person and seriously injured another overnight in the city.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of Route 1 near the Marshalls store at around midnight after received reports of a vehicle crash with injuries.
Police released in a statement that the striking vehicle was traveling Route 1 South when it impacted the second vehicle at the intersection of Fashion Plaza Drive.
The second vehicle was leaving the Walmart shopping center, crossing Route 1, and making a left onto Route 1 North.
Police say the driver of the second vehicle was pronounced dead as a result of the crash.
There were other injuries, none that appear to be life-threatening at this time.
The incident is under investigation by our Traffic Safety Bureau police said.
