Non-Life Threatening Injuries Reported for One Victim in Newark Car Crash

One person was transported the short distance to University Hospital after a car they were occupying crashed on a street in Newark Sunday morning.

According to police, the single-car crash happened at approximately 6 a.m. just past the intersection of South Orange Avenue and Bergen Street where the driver of a car somehow lost control and slammed into a pole at that location.

The vehicle came to a stop a business but experienced significant damage and knocked the light pole down.

The victim’s injuries were not considered severe and no one in or around the store suffered injuries.

The official cause of the crash remains under investigation.
