Police officials in Newark are reporting non-fatal injuries for two victims struck by gunfire in Newark's upper West Ward Wednesday night.
According to police, at approximately 9:50 p.m., gunfire rang out in 60's block of Telford Street, sending police to the scene to investigate.
Upon arrival, police say officers found two males suffering bullet wounds in their legs at that location inside a residence.
Police say the pair were transported to University Hospital and are expected to survive.
Authorities are looking for a male suspect who fled the scene in a dark-colored Honda reportedly stolen from NYC.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
