A New Jersey woman wanted in connection with a violent domestic dispute last year has been captured out of state, authorities confirmed.
Dawn Burge, 36, was arrested Wednesday in Elyria, Ohio, after investigators determined she had fled New Jersey following a stabbing incident in Edison.
According to officials, the U.S. Marshals Service tracked Burge to a business located in the 500 block of Griswold Road, where she was taken into custody without incident.
Burge had been wanted since June 29, 2025, when police responded to a residence on Morgan Drive in Edison for reports of a domestic disturbance.
During the altercation, authorities say she stabbed a man in the lower abdomen with a hunting knife.
A warrant was later issued charging Burge with two counts of aggravated assault along with two weapons-related offenses, according to court records.
She is currently being held at the Lorain County Jail in Ohio pending extradition back to New Jersey.

Officials with the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office have not yet released additional details regarding the circumstances of the stabbing, and the investigation remains active.
