NJ Woman Succumbs to Injuries After Hit-and-Run Incident

On the evening of April 10th, the Passaic Police Department rushed to the scene of a pedestrian accident at the intersection of Passaic Avenue and Aycrigg Avenue following reports of a woman being struck by a vehicle.AdThe victim, identified as 58-year-old Rachel McNeil of Passaic, was critically injured and quickly transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.

Despite the medical team's efforts, Ms. McNeil's condition worsened, and she tragically passed away from her injuries on April 12th at around 12:07 p.m.

According to the Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, the vehicle involved in the incident did not remain at the scene and fled in an unknown direction.

The investigation into this fatal hit-and-run is active and ongoing, with authorities urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any relevant information to come forward.AdThe Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office has provided a tips line (1-877-370-PCPO) and an email (tips@passaiccountynj.org) for the public to share information.
