NJ Woman Leads Police on Pursuit with Child Inside Vehicle

Police in NJ arrested a woman after she led them on a brief pursuit that ended with cops locating a child inside the car Thursday night. 

According to reports, at approximately 11:22 p.m., Trenton Police attempted to pull over the driver of a Buick sedan for traffic violations on North Clinton Avenue. 

The driver refused to pull over and led officers on a brief pursuit through the neighborhood.

Reports say that when the vehicle reached the 50 block of North Clinton, the female driver lost control and crashed into a couple of cars which halted the vehicle. 

Officers approached the car, arrested the woman, and observed a 5-year-old child in the rear passenger seat. 

The Child was taken to Capital Health Medical Center for an evaluation, but no serious injuries were reported. 

The suspect’s name us Ms. Tempestt Isom, 36, of Trenton and the child was her daughter. 

Trenton police will handle the incident and child endangerment charges have been filed against the woman.
