Authorities are investigating the death of a 34-year-old woman found inside a city residence over the weekend.

According to officials, Atlantic City Police officers were dispatched at approximately 10:08 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, to a home on the 2000 block of Sheridan Avenue for a report of an unresponsive female.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim, identified as Christina Burdette of Atlantic City, inside the residence.
Medical personnel responded but pronounced her deceased at the scene.
An autopsy conducted by the Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office determined Burdette’s manner of death to be homicide.
The exact cause remains under investigation.
The case is being handled by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit in collaboration with the Atlantic City Police Department.
Detectives are asking anyone who knew the victim or has knowledge of her whereabouts in the days and weeks leading up to her death to come forward.
