NJ Woman Charged for Possessing, Distributing Explicit Images of Minors

Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay reported that a Voorhees, NJ woman has been arrested and charged for possessing and distributing Explicit Images of Minors.

According to Camden County officials, Ms. Makayla Johnson, 20, was charged on April 17, 2025, with second-degree Explicit Images of Minors, second-degree Possession with Intent to Distribute Explicit Images of Minors, and third-degree Possession of Explicit Images of Minors.

According ot Camden County officials, Multiple cyber tips from the National Center of Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) led detectives to a Snapchat account used to possess and distribute Explicit Images of Minors.

During the investigation, detectives from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit identified Johnson as the user of the Snapchat account.

Additionally, a forensic search of Johnson’s cell phone uncovered child sexual abuse material.

Johnson was taken into custody at her residence in Voorhees on April 17, 2025, and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
