Authorities are investigating a motorcycle crash that occurred on the NJ Turnpike in Elizabeth Thursday night.
According to preliminary reports, the incident happened at approximately 9:20 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway near mile marker 101.9 sending emergency responders to the scene where they found two motorcycles fully involved in flames when whey somehow collided at that location.
EMS transported two victims to an area hospital suffering serious injuries according to reports.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames but not before the incident caused some delays for drivers using the highway.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
