NJ State Police officials are investigating a highway crash that injured a person in Middlesex County Sunday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, Troopers were dispatched to the southbound lanes of the NJ Turnpike near mile marker 87.6 in Edison to investigate reports of a crash with injuries.
Upon arrival, police found the crash scene with a person trapped inside a crashed vehicle.
The occupant was extricated that transported to an area hospital for treatment.
No other serious injuries were reported.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
